It’s awesome to have guests over, especially if they’re not from Pune. This means that I get to explore my city and behave like a tour guide. So much fun.

Also got to take some great pictures (after ages) of quaint little shops on Centre Street.

Pooja shops are awesome. Quite wonderfully, they sell both Hindu and Muslim religious items, so you’ll have rudrakshas placed next to bottles of ‘oud’, bottles of rangoli colours and Durgah cloth, voodoo dolls and peacock feathers, hair oil as well, and lots and lots of kaajal.

Then we’ve got the kolhapuri chappal shops. Arguably one of the coolest and most fashionable type of footwear in the world. And comfortable as well, though it may be some time before the chappal adjusts to your feet (my beautiful bright yellow ones made my feet bleed for a day, but ‘karna padhta hai’. They fit perfectly now).

Rajasthani handicraft shops have popped up all over M.G Road, and though it’s a pain to haggle with sly shopkeepers, they do have some great stuff.

Just made my very first video, and I’m so thrilled! What a pity that an assignment for class nudged me into doing this, and not my own passion for trying out something new (for me) and creative.

It’s quite silly, really. But it’s a start, and better ones shall be created in the near future.
